Manufacturing
Botswana imports over 90% of what it consumes and thus manufacturing is a very high priority sector for self sufficiency across all goods sectors. Naturally, through the various international trade agreements Botswana has in place with countries in the region and further abroad, manufacturing is receiving high levels of government attention for export of surplus for foreign currency revenue. There is an abundance of raw materials in Botswana, a labor force suitable for manufacturing industries, low input costs (water, power, land/premises acquisitions, labour, etc...) and a central location to access a 100 million plus population within a 1,500km radius.
